Charlotte Towne is an experienced and industrious entertainment attorney who devotes her practice to the representation of passionate and talented artists, athletes, and businesses that strive for excellence, no matter their craft or medium.

Ms. Towne’s lifelong love for entertainment, the arts, and sports is evident the moment you meet her.  As a child, Charlotte Towne demonstrated her sports and entertainment prowess through her many accolades in everything from tennis, swimming and diving to the performing arts, singing, dance and theatre. 

As an adult, Ms. Towne pursued her passion for music and entertainment by obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Business from the prestigious University of Miami Music Business and Entertainment Industries Program in Coral Gables, Florida. During college, Ms. Towne worked as an intern at Unique Casting, a Miami Beach film, television, commercial and music video casting agency and performed in local South Florida professional theatrical productions.

Charlotte focused on sports and entertainment law while attending and earning her law degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  During law school, Ms. Towne served as President of the NSU Sports and Entertainment Law Society for two years where she organized several speaker events featuring entertainment and sports industry professionals, orchestrated her brain-child the inaugural NSU Sports and Entertainment Law Symposium, and promoted a music showcase at The Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale featuring performances by emerging South Florida bands and musicians. 

In addition to leading the Sports and Entertainment Law Society to two consecutive wins as Organization of the Year during her presidency, Ms. Towne also worked as a law clerk at the entertainment boutique law firm, Bradley, Carlisle and Robinson, where she gained both transactional and litigation experience involving entertainment and intellectual property law matters. 

Before opening the law office of Charlotte Towne, P.A., located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ms. Towne lived and worked in Los Angeles, learning the inner workings of the very complex, entertainment industry. She earned two film credits: Music Supervisor for the feature film “Window Theory” and Music Coordinator for the feature film “Dark Streets.” 

Through her broad range of experience working in the various areas of music and entertainment, Ms. Towne has gained first-hand knowledge of and experience dealing with the intricacies of these businesses and has developed solid professional relationships with many important entertainment industry professionals. 

Ms. Towne is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and the United States District Court Southern District of Florida. She has been an active member of the Florida Bar Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law section for years, serving as Student Liaison and Leadership Committee Chair on the Executive Board in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008.  She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries and Section of Intellectual Property Law.
